Our History

As a child I recall tumbling and tossing on the bed in front of my cousin’s cot to make her laugh. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, unable to walk or talk with me. I would find great enjoyment hearing her laugh as I played with her. We didn’t communicate in any specific language, but we connected in our own game of play. I believe this was when my heart was drawn to the therapeutic power of laughter and subconsciously, I became aware of how I could change the atmosphere of the room with my presence.

My love for making people happy has always been an innate part of who I am, and it took me on a long journey to discover the healing power it had and the gift that it brings into people’s lives when we join in laughter.

I believe everyone deserves the right to be happy and have now brought my passion for laughter and play together in the establishment of a Non-Profit Company, which serves to bring happiness to all those we meet.

My journey has guided me on a corporate path, where I have gained enormous operational skills, and I now find myself leading an organization which is aimed at creating job opportunities for youth in the professional skill of ‘medical clowning’, making them self-sustainable members of society and contributing parts of our economy. The medical clown uses tools and techniques and act as a psycho-social support partner in the healthcare sector transforming the environment with laughter and play.

Scientific research proves that laughter can assist with the healing process. The Medical Clown connects to the heart of all those they meet. During a year the Medical Clown reaches 12,600,000 people. We plan on training youth as ‘Medical Clowns’ making a social impact, creating job opportunities, touching lives and transforming the hospital experience, one smile at a time.

If you’re interested in grabbing a coffee and a few minutes of laughter together, please send an email my way.
